Asbestos Survey Reports Exeter

If you have responsibility for a property in the UK and it’s built before year 2000 then you are required to have an asbestos management plan in place. Asbestos always poses a risk, and the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 introduced a method for managing that risk. After various changes in the regulation, the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 has made asbestos management compulsory. Asbestos must be identified, through an asbestos survey, assessed, and monitored.

An asbestos survey reports on the location, type, nature of and extent of any asbestos. In line with HSE guidance, there are two types of asbestos survey: the Asbestos Management Survey and the Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition Survey. The latter has to be completed before any refurbishment or demolition work can be carried out on a property. On completion of the survey, a full asbestos survey report will be produced which will allow the duty holder to create a Management Plan to comply with all the latest asbestos regulations.
