Manufacturing firm fined for poor asbestos management

A Newcastle based Manufacturing company fined for failure to introduce an adequate asbestos management plan.

The HSE found that the company failed to protect employee’s from the risk of exposure to asbestos and failed to ensure that maintenance workers were aware of the location of the asbestos.

The company would have received an £800,000 fine however this was reduced to £1 as the company was in administration.
